Drive to be launched for birth control in animals

The News
K. Gnaneswar, Joint Director, Department of Animal Husbandry, on Saturday said that a drive would be launched for animal birth control operations in the city involving male dogs from August in association with the Eluru Municipal Corporation (EMC). Speaking at a function in connection with the World Zoonosis Day, he said the programme would go on for a period of 2-3 years until the whole task was accomplished with an aim to bring the dog population under control. The official machinery is finding it difficult to collect census on the number of dogs in the district and their health profiles for devising a plan of action to handle a number of diseases transmitted from dogs to humans due to the `population explosion’ with each female being capable of producing not less than eight cubs in each cycle of reproduction in its lifetime.
The Joint Director said the dogs upon operated were given a tag, tattoo or paint as a mark of identification. The Blue Cross Society, a Non-Governmental Organisation, has trained dog catchers on catching the stray dogs live and provided them with kits containing nets and the other paraphernalia. The Animal Husbandry department was planning to make use of their services for organising the birth control operations. After the dogs caught by the catchers, the veterinarians from the department would identify the male animals for operations, he explained. According to the data available with the Animal Husbandry department, a little over 30,000 dogs are in existence in the district. The city reportedly has 4,300 animals.

Alright, These South Indians are surely upto something. When I say South Indians, I'm just talking about the region to the Southern part of India and not categorizing them as a different section altogether, please spare me the comments that I'm racist or something. But surely, there is something wrong down there, First I reviewed the article about Sex equals marriage and now this, gets me thinking what are we doing.
Alright, the Dog population in Andhra is on a rise, Okay, seems plausible, but have you ever considered the rate of rise of Human Population, that too all across India. You say that on Zoonosis Day, you want to take care of the problem of increasing number of dogs, what the hell do you do on the World Population Day, I'll look upon it on the coming 11th of July.
Sometimes, I feel we are the ones stealing the right to live from those poor animals. We cut down the forests, and make up buildings and then we argue there are animals on the wild. Now tell me, where the hell are they going to go. I may be sounding like a hardcore environmentalist, but well that's the truth about us.
Thinking as per biological impact, all forms of life are required to maintain balance, and if you reduce dogs, you'll have to reduce other species as well, may not be in the same proportion but it is required.
I have a better idea, It'll also generate profits for them, why not sell them to Koreans. Koreans eat sterilized dog meat, and well, they'll pay you handsomely. I should seriously stop being racist.
Well, India is a democracy and we cannot force Birth Control over humans, but animals, we'll make them eunuch for the sake of population control. Did you know that it too is called sterilization? Well the anti-rabies vaccination plan is commendable, for I would not like to be bitten first by a dog and then by Vaccination Syringes.
We want our dogs to be controlled but the people to run loose, well that's the name of the game, if you can't control those required, you'll display your frustration on those who you can. I for one cannot operate on a Dog's genitalia, but well people can.
It happens everywhere, not only in India.
